Community Supported Agriculture

Purchasing a CSA share helps our farm with seasonal start-up costs such as labor, insurance, seed, greenhouse supplies, heating oil, etc. In return, shareholders receive a modest discount, the freshest and tastiest produce and locally grown plants. We believe vibrant farms are a benefit to the whole community and that locally grown foods are essential for a healthy and safe food supply. We offer two kinds of Community Supported (CSA) farm shares:

Farmstand CSA
Our popular Farmstand CSA share is the most flexible option and allows you to purchase a share in late winter/early spring at a modest discount and then use the full value of the share throughout our season for what you want, when you want it. The Farmstand share may be used to purchase any items we grow or sell at our farm, and is set up much like a store credit. Here are some examples of items you can purchase with your Farmstand share:

  • Our own vegetables from Asparagus to Zucchini
  • Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, peaches, apples
  • Hanging baskets and patio planters grown on our farm
  • Annuals, vegetable plants, herbs, perennials, shrubs
  • Jams, pickles, honey and maple syrup
  • Locally made breads, pies and cookies
  • Pumpkins, mums and fall decoration
  • Wreaths, kissing balls, poinsettias, ornaments

The Farmstand share may be used anytime during the 2018 season, from April 14 until Halloween and November 17 through December 9, and does not carry over to 2019.

Traditional Produce CSA
We also offer a more traditional produce CSA. We offer either a 14-week share or an 18-week share.

Pick-up day for the produce share will be on Thursdays, from 11 am until 6 pm at our farmstand. The produce share will consist of an assortment of vegetables grown on our farm, harvested that morning, and will vary from week to week, depending upon what is in season. Strawberries, blueberries and/or raspberries will also be included with the produce share when they are in season. The longer 18-week share will include more fall root vegetables and squash, items that we are normally just beginning to harvest when the 14-week share ends. The weekly value of the produce share will be approximately $22.00 or more. It is ideal for people who like a wide variety of vegetables, enjoy eating what is locally in season, and who like to try new things. The produce share will be picked and packed by farm employees; shareholders are responsible for picking-up their weekly share on Thursdays from 11 am until 6 pm. **Delivery to area businesses can be arranged for a minimum of six shares; contact us for more info.**
