Produce

At Hemingway Farms, we take pride in cultivating a diverse array of fresh vegetables in our picturesque rolling fields, complemented by our innovative seasonal high tunnels that allow us to extend the growing season, ensuring you enjoy the best harvests all year round.

Our Fresh Produce

The harvest season at Hemingway Farms bursts into life in May with the arrival of asparagus and tender greens, setting the stage for an exhilarating June as we joyfully kick off our strawberry harvest, truly a highlight of our year.

Around this time, we also celebrate the ripening of our first tomatoes, adding to the seasonal excitement. Soon, we find ourselves gathering tender squash, crisp peas, young cucumbers, and both red and black raspberries, and before we know it, the blueberries are ready for picking as well.

As we move into late July, our sweet corn harvest begins, marking the peak of summer’s bounty with an array of vegetables including beans, eggplant, melons, tomatoes, and potatoes in all shapes and colors.

With the days starting to grow shorter, we turn our attention to the fall harvest, bringing in root crops, potatoes, onions, winter squash, and brassicas like brussel sprouts. We also take delight in cultivating a vibrant array of pumpkins and gourds, each unique in shape and color, perfect for our autumn displays.

We’ve been driving past this place for far too long. Made a special trip today to see if the corn is ready, it is! It looks and smells marvelous, I will assume it tasted the same. But, I reserve the right to change the review if not.

I was really pleased to see the garden plants and house plants they also have available. I don’t buy annuals, but they still had a great selection, at really good prices. The perennials will require a return trip. Time wise, I just wasn’t prepared.

The veggies all look beautiful. We’ve already enjoyed a salad of their produce. Chèvre cheese, local beef, jars of pickles. Yeah, we’ll be back!”  – DL Hirst
