Our Plants and Flowers
The greenhouses and display areas around Hemingway Farms are brimming with color throughout the season. We have small bedding and container plants for those who wish to plant their own containers and gardens. We also grow a great selection of containers, planters, hanging baskets and window boxes that are ready for an “instant” garden.
Herbs are a favorite for containers and vegetable gardens and our varieties run from common parsley and basil to harder to find lemongrass and stevia. Vegetable plants are ready for the mid-May rush and fruit trees and berry bushes are available beginning in April.
Our perennial and shrub selection ranges from common foundation plants to native beauties to spectacular specimens. Our perennial display area is located just down the path from the farm stand. There you will find beauties for your rock garden, cottage garden or naturalized garden and landscapes. Shrubs and small trees create the “bones” of a garden and we select varieties that complement different styles and settings from informal to formal.
