We grow a wide selection of vegetables in our rolling fields and also in seasonal high tunnels which are used to extend the growing season.

Our Fresh Produce

The harvest season at Hemingway Farms begins with asparagus and tender greens in May. June is full of excitement as our strawberry harvest begins, a highlight of our year. Our first tomatoes are ready about this time too, which also calls for celebration. Tender squash, peas, young cucumbers, raspberries (red and black) and suddenly we are picking blueberries too.

Late July brings our sweet corn harvest and the height of harvest season for all the summer vegetables – beans, eggplant, melons, tomatoes and potatoes of all shapes and colors. As the days begin to shorten we are harvesting our fall root crops, potatoes, onions, winter squash and fall brassicas such as brussel sprouts. We have great fun growing pumpkins and gourds in every imaginable shape and color for fall displays.
